Dr. Frazee credits living abroad in her youth with giving her a resilient spirit, which serves her well in her pediatric practice. Dr. Frazee is a cum laude graduate of Duke University in North Carolina. She received her medical degree from the St. Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri. She decided to settle in the Bay Area after completing her residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland. She joined Town and Country Pediatrics in 2022. Dr. Frazee has a particular interest in nutrition and preventive care, so in her free time she enjoys cooking, exercise, and meditation.
Dr. Gofman moved to the Bay Area from Ukraine as a youth. She then ventured to Sacramento, where she received her medical degree from the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine. She also completed her residency at the UC Davis Medical Center. Dr. Gofman believes that children deserve a healthy start in life. She is passionate about working with families to create the best outcomes. Dr. Gofman is also a devoted parent. She spends her free time enjoying the natural beauty of the Bay Area, reading, and gardening.
Dr. Kaplan is originally from New York and attended Skidmore College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and biology. After completing medical school at Tel Aviv University, she moved to San Francisco for her pediatric residency. She joined Town and Country Pediatrics in 2019. Dr. Kaplan has extensive experience as a critical care neonatal hospitalist. She is well versed in providing care for NICU graduates and growing preterm infants with and without medical issues. She lives in Mill Valley with her husband, David, their son, Daniel, and their pooch, Kobi.
Dr. Makar was inspired to become a doctor after spending summers working with her father, also a physician. She received her bachelor’s degree from Duke University and her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. After finishing her residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago (now Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago), Dr. Makar moved to the Bay Area, where she lives with her husband, their two children, and their dog, Pickles. Dr. Maker joined Town and Country Pediatrics in 2019. She enjoys running at Crissy Field in San Francisco and hanging out at the Clement Street Farmers Market.
Dr. Tessler grew up in Southern California and received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles, before moving to Illinois to attend medical school at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She returned to California for her residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and quickly fell in love with the Bay Area. Dr. Tessler joined Town and Country Pediatrics in 2019. A former competitive gymnast, she enjoys the outdoors, including skiing and camping with her family and adopted dog.
Dr. Vande Guchte is originally from the Midwest, completing his undergraduate studies at Hope College in Michigan and then medical school at the University of Michigan. When the opportunity came, he chose to move to California for his residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland. Dr. Vande Guchte spent the first 30 years of his career practicing medicine as a pediatric hospitalist, and he now uses his expertise in the outpatient setting. He joined Town and Country Pediatrics in 2019. When he is not working, he enjoys hiking with his wife, playing pickleball with his sons and friends, and rooting for the Golden State Warriors and San Francisco Giants.
