Our Harvest Café was designed to combat the negative stereotype of hospital food, offering healthy and delicious options for families, visitors and patients. Meals include organic options, locally sourced ingredients, a pizza oven and grill. The café is located in a spacious and open environment with indoor and outdoor seating which feels more like a local bistro than a hospital cafeteria.
Our goal is simple: we want to ensure our patients, their families and our doctors, nurses and health care teams are eating healthy food because that can lead to faster healing and better care.
The Harvest Harvest Café is located in the Main building on the first floor at 725 Welch Road, Palo Alto, CA 94304.
Hours of Operation: 24 hours for snacks, grab-and-go foods, coffee, and beverages.
Breakfast (daily): 7 to 10 a.m.
Lunch/Dinner (daily): 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Late Night Grill (daily): 7 p.m. to midnight
In addition, there are several options available throughout the broader Stanford campus. Visit the Stanford campus.
The hospital provides meals for patients. Once your care team confirms they are able to eat, meals may be ordered at any time between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily. Orders should be placed using the menu available in the room, in accordance with the appropriate dietary guidelines. There are no fixed mealtimes—patients may eat whenever it best supports their care and comfort.
The patient’s family and visitors may bring food for themselves or buy it from the hospital cafeteria or nearby restaurants. If you need help getting food while your child is in the hospital, ask your nurse to call a social worker. If you choose to bring food from home, you can use the family lounge on the Main Building’s second, third, fourth, or fifth floor to store and prepare food. There is a microwave and sink in each lounge.
Family Food Bags with ready-to-eat food is available in each hospital unit. If you cannot get enough food at any time while your child is in the hospital, ask your child’s nurse for a free food bag. There are also food bags and coffee and tea in the Family Resource Center.
California Children’s Services Food Vouchers are available from the social worker for current CCS clients. If you have questions about CCS, please ask to speak to a social worker.

To place an order, dial 8-3663 from your room or (650) 498-3663 from outside the hospital. The $10 guest meal includes one entrée, two sides, one fruit or dessert, and one beverage.
