At the Stanford Medicine Children’s Health Pediatric Neuro-Immunology Clinic, we specialize in the diagnosis and care of patients with known or suspected inflammatory brain disorders. We aim to provide personalized treatment that meets the needs of our patients and their parents. We provide genetic testing, diagnostic testing (including MRI), immunologic testing and offer access to an on-staff social worker and genetic counselor. Stanford Medicine Children’s Health is also home to an infusion center and some of the world’s foremost cutting-edge research and clinical trials.
Some disorders that affect other parts of the nervous system (for example, muscular disorders) or cause serious changes in mood or behavior (for example, pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome, or PANS) may also have a suspected immunologic component. Unfortunately, the Pediatric Neuro-Immunology Clinic does not have special expertise in these conditions and we may not be well suited to help.
