Research and Innovation

As part of the Stanford School of Medicine, we blend research and innovations in everything that we do, informing your child’s heart care. We use discoveries in basic science and engineering to fuel the next generation of advancements in pediatric heart disease and to improve survival, quality of life, and cures via our Basic Science and Engineering (BASE) Initiative. And we conduct clinical trials—research studies on new medical approaches, devices, drugs, and other heart treatments. If interested, ask your child’s doctor about current studies.
