The Family Guidance and Bereavement Program recognizes that there is no greater loss than that of a child. Our program offers bereaved families supportive services to help guide them through this difficult time. All of our services are offered at no cost in English and Spanish. Parents, siblings, and grandparents are welcome to participate.

The Family Guidance and Bereavement Program has been developed with the support and participation of The Family Partners Program, a group of Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford bereaved family members who work on a variety of initiatives designed to improve aspects of our care for families facing the death of a child.
Annual Day of Remembrance
Join with other families for a day of rededication and remembrance for children who have died. Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford bereaved families will be invited for children who died up to six months before the event.
Memory Making Day
An afternoon for bereaved families to join together and participate in supportive activities.
Summer Scamper
An opportunity for bereaved families to join together and participate in supportive activities.
Bereaved Grandparents’ Brunch
A morning for grandparents to share in food, memories and support.
All of our services are funded through philanthropy. If you would like to make a donation, please donate online here or send a check to the address below. Checks can be made payable to LPCH, LPFCH, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, or Lucile Packard Foundation. Please write “Family Guidance & Bereavement Program” in the memo portion of the check.
