Original TV programs for our patients and families

Sophie’s Place is Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford's in-house broadcast TV studio. Our studio creates original TV programs for patients and families. These shows are broadcast to patient rooms on our closed-circuit TV channel, Channel 1. Our studio team prides themselves on creating a fun and positive media experience for patients and families.

Services provided by Sophie’s Place Broadcast Studio:

• Original live and prerecorded TV programs that only play here at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford on Channel 1.
• Opportunities for patients to take part in the fun by calling in to or hosting shows.
• Support for patients to get creative and make their own videos or shows with the help of our studio coordinators.
• Craft tutorials, game shows, special guests, and much more. Patients can use their creativity to develop their own videos and shows with the help of our studio coordinators.
• A “VIP Pass” rewards program, where patients can earn prizes by calling in and taking part in our studio activities.
