El Camino Health – Mountain View Hospital

Overview

Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford partners with El Camino Health – Mountain View Hospital to provide inpatient care for pediatric patients.

The Packard at El Camino (PEC) Unit is a 24-bed satellite unit of Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. The General Pediatric Service at PEC offers comprehensive care for a variety of general pediatric illnesses. We also provide inpatient eating disorder services through Stanford Medicine’s Division of Adolescent Medicine.

The care provided at PEC is multidisciplinary and draws from the expertise of on-site pediatric hospitalists from Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford (present 24 hours a day), specialized pediatric nursing staff, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, dietitians, child life and recreation specialists, social workers, and case managers, all in a child-friendly, intimate environment.

We strive to provide exceptional patient- and family-centered care by partnering wit patients and families on daily bedside rounds, emphasizing communication throughout the hospitalization, and coordinating with primary care providers to ensure a seamless transition of care.
