V. Anthony Chiong, MD

Dr. Chiong attended medical school at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York, and completed his residency at NYU Langone Medical Center/Bellevue Emergency Medicine in New York City. He has a special interest in treating children with sports-related issues, including asthma, and uses his interests in travel and sports to engage with his patients on a personal level. Dr. Chiong approaches patient care as a privilege and feels that being able to contribute to children’s lives and well-being makes pediatrics the best job he could ask for.

Tasmina Hussain, MD

Dr. Hussain was inspired to become a pediatrician at a young age. During her youth, she spent many summers volunteering at hospitals. After studying at the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh, she moved to Boston to attend Northeastern University, Bouvé College of Health Sciences. After becoming a physician, she earned a master’s in public health from Northwestern University and participated in research on asthma and adolescent well-being. Her clinical interests include asthma and support for breastfeeding. In her spare time, she likes to do arts and crafts with her children. She speaks Bengali and Hindi.

 

Kavitha Vemuri, MD

Dr. Vemuri grew up in the Bay Area. Her educational pursuits brought her to the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, Sint Maarten, Netherlands Antilles. From there she came back to the U.S. for a residency in internal medicine at UCSF Fresno in California and a pediatrics residency at Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Vemuri has a keen interest in preventive medicine and loves helping her patients build healthy habits. Outside of her practice, Dr. Vemuri appreciates spending time in nature, dancing, and enjoying the outdoors with her dog.
