Clinical Assistant Professor
Pediatric Nephrology
“I like to help kids be just kids.”
When my patients and families come in, it can be the worst day of their lives. I appreciate the chance to help them understand their diagnosis and treatment, and to offer hope. As a pediatric nephrologist, I use evidenced-based treatments to empower my patients to feel better and become the best version of themselves that they can be. My comprehensive approach includes considering families’ unique situations and tailoring to their needs.
The kidney is a complicated and extremely smart organ. It can be resilient and bounce back, just like kids. Stanford Children’s Pediatric Nephrology (Kidney) Clinic is a dynamic, special place that offers the very environment to optimize not just kidney health but overall health and development. Our program pushes frontiers in treatment, including through offering access to a number of clinical trials. I encourage my patients and their families to be open to trial participation when it may apply to their circumstances, as enrollment may advance their care and improve outcomes.
