Dorothy Shoup, MD

Growing up, both my father and sister had many health issues. My sister had OB/GYN issues, including fibroids, and her physician became a really good friend. I loved his profession, and I naturally gravitated to it and wanted to do the same thing with my life contribute to women's health care.

I love my profession because you form long-term relationships with patients due to providing primary and specialty care. Babies I delivered 16 or more years ago are now my patients, along with their mothers and sometimes grandmothers. It is rewarding and fulfilling to care for people throughout their life.

Everyone is an individual, which is why I believe in personalized care. I work with women to find what works best for them in terms of improving their well-being and fostering long-term health. I feel fortunate to be a physician and be involved in my patients' lives.
