Patient and family day
Connecting is an annual daylong event offered to our ICD patients and families. The event includes activities for patients, their siblings and parents.
Having a child with a heart condition can be a very stressful and traumatic time for your family. A complicated heart diagnosis can test a family’s ability to cope.
Our Pediatric Cardiac Psychology Program team at Stanford Medicine Children’s Health is here for you to help you address the psychological needs of your child, and work with you to improve their emotional, academic, social, and behavioral health.
Additionally, our Pediatric Cardiac Psychology Program team of caring experts can evaluate and treat mental health concerns you may have while your child is an outpatient at the Betty Irene Moore Children’s Heart Center. The outpatient program focuses on the psychological needs of children treated by the Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Therapies (PACT) and Electrophysiology (EP) teams. We are here to help you and your child better cope with these stressful times and help your child lead the best life possible.
