Ronald McDonald House Charities Bay Area provides overnight accommodations, meals, and support through its Ronald McDonald House at Stanford program for families of critically ill children receiving treatment at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. The Ronald McDonald House provides a supportive community for caregivers, siblings, and patients through day-use and overnight services, allowing them to give their sick child complete attention and support.
To keep pace with the expansion of Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, Ronald McDonald House at Stanford more than doubled its capacity to house families, from 47 to 123 bedrooms. The new House is one of the largest of the nearly 400 Ronald McDonald Houses in the world and provides a home-away-from-home for an additional 76 families each night.
Designed by a volunteer army of interior designers, the House is not only beautiful but highly functional with family suites, kitchens and dining areas, age-specific activity rooms, fitness center, private consultation rooms, laundry facilities, underground parking, storage and more.
