STANFORD, Calif. — Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford has announced the appointment of Bradley “Brad” A. Geier to its Board of Directors, effective June 1, 2020.
Brad Geier is a founder, co-owner, and co-managing partner of Merlone Geier Partners, a private real estate investment firm focused on the acquisition, development, and redevelopment of retail and mixed-use properties on the West Coast. Previously, he held senior positions at Trammell Crow Company and the Taubman Company.
“Brad will be a terrific addition to the Board of Directors. He is a proven leader and has been a valued advisor to countless organizations over his career,” said Jeff Chambers, board chair. “We look forward to welcoming Brad to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford.”
Geier has longstanding ties to Stanford, having earned an undergraduate degree with departmental honors in history from Stanford University and since holding a variety of leadership and volunteer roles within the University. He is a current member of the Stanford University Board of Trustees, has served on the Bing Overseas Studies Program Advisory Council, and has acted as co-chair of the Parents’ Advisory Board and of his reunion committee. In his hometown of San Diego, California, Geier has served as an outreach volunteer for Stanford’s Office of Undergraduate Admission and for major gifts fundraising, as well as supported the University’s Leading Matters alumni event held in San Diego to showcase how Stanford is tackling some of the world’s biggest challenges.
In 2013, Geier received a Stanford Associates Governors’ Award, which honors exemplary volunteer service to Stanford over an extended time period.

Geier holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He serves on the Policy Advisory Board of the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate at the University of San Diego and is a director of H.G. Fenton Company. Geier is a trustee of Coaching Corps and a lifetime trustee of the Bishop’s School in La Jolla, California.
