STANFORD, Calif. —Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford has announced the appointment of J. Taylor Crandall to its Board of Directors, effective June 1, 2017. The Stanford University Board of Trustees approved his appointment.
Crandall is a Managing Partner and a founding member of Oak Hill Capital Partners, where he has been since 1986. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Berlin Packaging, First Light, Hilltop Holdings, Omada and Pulsant. In addition, Crandall has served on numerous public and private company boards in the past, including serving as a director of American Skiing Company, Bell & Howell, Cincinnati Bell, Genpact Limited, Interstate Hotels and Resorts, Meristar Hospitality Corporation, Quaker State and Washington Mutual.
Philanthropically, Crandall is the Secretary-Treasurer of the Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Foundation and serves on the boards of the Powdr Corporation, The Park City Foundation, and U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation. Previously, Crandall served as the chair of the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health, and was an ex-officio director of the Board of Directors at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford during that time. He and his wife, Suzanne, are also longstanding and generous donors to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford and the child health programs at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Crandall earned a B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Bowdoin College, where he has served on the Board of Overseers. He also received an honorary doctorate in humane letters from Bowdoin College in 2010.
